We Take Kids into Nature!
Providing opportunities for children to learn through play, while exploring the great outdoors, is at the heart of what we do here at Toronto Forest School.
Climbing trees, digging in the dirt, exploring creek beds, building forts, discovering creature friends, playing in the mud, creating friendships, fostering a love of the natural world, learning about native plant and animal species and the list goes on. These are just some of the experiences we strive to provide and facilitate for children at Toronto Forest School.
Toronto Forest School is proud to offer Eco-Explorers, a forest school initiative
for children ages 5 and 6 years old. Spend the day adventuring the Don Valley with us! Discover the joy of learning through outdoor play and engagement!
In nature play, children have the freedom to explore, take risks and learn about the natural world through intrinsically motivated play. Competent and aware practitioners are there to guide experiences every step of the way.
Climbing trees, digging in the dirt, exploring creek beds, building forts, nature crafting, working with wood, discovering nature mysteries, playing in the mud, fostering a love of the natural world, learning about native plant and animal species are just SOME of the things we get up to!
Please note that we are currently unable to provide program offerings for the summer/fall of 2020
